Description
A delightful 18th-century English delft flower brick, dating from around 1760, beautifully painted in under-glaze blue and manganese with a river landscape and figures.
The rectangular body is pierced on top to hold flower stems, a form typical of Georgian interiors.
The painting quality and palette reflect the best work of the London and Bristol delftware potteries of the mid-18th century.

Very good condition for its age. Small chip professionally restored; typical minor rim chipping present, consistent with 18th-century delft wares.
