A fine 18th century Liverpool delft bowl, formed with an elegant flared rim and painted around c.1760 with a detailed chinoiserie scene. About this 18th century Liverpool delft bowl

This is an attractive and less common form, the outward-flaring rim making the interior decoration particularly well displayed. The painting quality is high, with subtle shading and confident outlines, showing the influence of Chinese export porcelain and contemporary printed sources on Liverpool’s decorators.
