Description
A rare 18th-century English Delft tea caddy, probably made in Liverpool around 1760, decorated in rich cobalt blue with panels of flowering shrubs and insects enclosed by scrolling borders.
Each side displays an elegant hand-painted floral composition typical of the Liverpool delft painters influenced by Chinese export porcelain.
The caddy retains its original metal cover, completing an excellent and authentic example of English delftware used in the Georgian tea trade.

Height — 10 cm
Condition
Minor chipping to the shoulders and rim consistent with age. The glaze retains good surface gloss; overall excellent display condition.
