An exceptionally fine and rare 18th-century English saltglaze comport, dating from around 1760.
The pierced pedestal base supports a delicately reticulated dish with applied flower sprays and a serrated rim, all executed in the characteristic pale cream-toned saltglaze typical of the Georgian period.
This piece demonstrates the superb craftsmanship of mid-18th-century English potters working in Staffordshire and related centres.

Exceptional original condition, with crisp detail and no apparent restoration or structural damage. Minor age-related wear only, consistent with its period.
